The House of Red Velvet

If you saw our newest edition, A New Baptism, some of this imagery may look familiar to you. Frankie Tan and I trekked down to Hive Gallery in Downtown LA to shoot with a longtime friend of mine, Diane Lynn. She had some veil and fabric ideas she wanted to execute along with these unique filigree finger claws.

I absolutely love this shot of Frankie en pointe. We sort of threw ideas on this one in the moment. I made these red velvet sashes. The visual was it was tied at the ankles. We added the blood halfway through the shots. I can only speak from a spectator’s view, but there is always something very dark about ballet.

Diane had this beautiful white lace she wanted to use. If you went to A New Baptism, you would have seen my anatomical hearts melting in my hands during a scene. She captured this shot.
